New Deputy Commissioner Moniruzzaman joins in Khulna

Khulna Correspondent: Md. Moniruzzaman Talukder has joined as the new Deputy Commissioner of Khulna. On Sunday morning, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Helal Hossain formally handed over the charge to the new Deputy Commissioner.

The outgoing Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Helal Hossain greeted the newly joined Deputy Commissioner Md. Moniruzzaman Talukder with flowers. Outgoing Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Helal Hossain directed all the officials of the administration to cooperate with the new Deputy Commissioner.

Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Khulna District Md. Moniruzzaman Talukder was felicitated on behalf of the ‘Confidential Branch’ of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. Additional Deputy Commissioner (LA) Md. Maruful Alam, Assistant Commissioner of Confidential Branch Md. Taki Faisal Talukder, Personal Assistant to the Deputy Commissioner Sheikh Md. Humayun Kabir, Confidential Assistant Md. Mesbah Uddin and other staffers.
Earlier, in a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on May 31. Moniruzzaman Talukder was appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Khulna. In another notification, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Mohammad Helal Hossain was transferred to the post of Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Department of the Home Ministry.

Moniruzzaman Talukder was working as the Deputy Commissioner of Munshiganj. He entered government service through 21st BCS. He started his career in the administration as an executive magistrate of the district administration of Meherpur. Later, he worked as Aceland of Char Fashion Upazila, Executive Officer (UNO) of Muladi Upazila, Secretary of Barisal City Corporation, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Comilla and Private Secretary to the Chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission. Before joining the administration cadre, he was posted in the 20th BCS in the cooperative cadre and was the district co-operative officer in Barguna.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Dhaka University and a master’s degree from a university in England. He has been fulfilling the responsibilities of his career with honesty and efficiency at different times. He was born in an aristocratic Muslim family in Subidpur union of Nalchiti upazila of Jhalokati.
