BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has taken the second dose of corona vaccine. He was vaccinated at Sheikh Russell Gastroliver Hospital in Mohakhali at 4:10 pm on Wednesday (August 18).
BNP leaders and activists gathered there on the news of Khaleda Zia’s vaccination. Later in the afternoon, when Khaleda Zia’s car entered, the leaders and activists surrounded it. For this reason, like last time, Khaleda Zia was kept in the car and vaccinated.
Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the media wing of the BNP chairperson, said the car carrying Khaleda Zia left her Gulshan residence Firoza around 3.30 pm for vaccination. It reached in front of the hospital around 4 pm.
BNP joint secretary general Advocate Mahbub Uddin Khokon, BNP chairperson’s media wing member Shamsuddin Didar and others were present during Khaleda Zia’s vaccination.
Earlier, Khaleda Zia took the first dose of the vaccine on July 19. He took the American-made Modern vaccine.
It may be mentioned that Khaleda Zia was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital on April 27 this year after contracting coronavirus. After 54 days of treatment there, Khaleda Zia returned to her Gulshan residence on the night of June 19.
On February 8, 2018, Khaleda Zia was sentenced to five years in prison in a Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case. He was first treated at the Special Jail in Old Dhaka and later at the BSMU Hospital. After the outbreak of corona in the country, the government suspended Khaleda Zia’s six-month sentence at the request of her family. After that, the government extended his sentence twice more.
