Journalist Anujkanti Das is registering the free vaccine of Covid-19 among the people in an exceptional initiative called ‘Free Service’ in Srimangal of Moulvibazar. Finding helpless, uneducated and incompetent people in the area, everyone is registering ticks. He is walking around the doorsteps of distressed people with internet connection on his laptop and mobile phone.
Anujkanti Das, a resident of Purbasha residential area of Ward 4 of the municipal area of the upazila, is working as the Srimangal upazila representative of the country’s first national daily Ittefaq. Besides, he has been engaged in the service of people for a long time in terms of social responsibility.
Recently, this exceptional initiative has been taken voluntarily to implement the vaccination program adopted by the government in response to the dire situation of corona virus infection across the country. He has continued his ‘free service’ program in various villages, tea gardens and slum villages around the city.
After providing free services in his own office for two hours every day of the week, he spends extra time running to new villages with the message of awareness. Under his free service program, thousands of poor and helpless people in remote areas of the upazila are being vaccinated against corona. Besides, the local beneficiaries have applauded Anujkanti’s exceptional initiative in the service of the country and the people.
Anujkanti Das said the countrywide corona virus has caused serious injuries. So he started this free service program to support the government’s vaccination program against corona and to make people aware of the importance of vaccination by registering free vaccines so that no one is deprived of the vaccine. He sought the cooperation of all in every step of the government in this regard.
