Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the killing of Ukrainian agricultural tycoon Oleksiy Vadatursky in a Russian strike was a “huge loss for all of Ukraine”. Qatar-based media Al Jazeera reported this information in a report on Sunday.
Oleksiy Vadatursky was working to create a modern grain market with a network of transshipment terminals and hoisting, he said in a statement.
Oleksiy Vadatursky, the founder and owner of Nibulon, one of Ukraine’s largest agricultural companies, and his wife were killed in a Russian attack on the Mykolaiv region.
Local governor Vitaly Kim said on the Telegram messaging app that the couple was killed at their home in Mykolive on Sunday. Russian forces were shelling Mykolaiv since morning local time.
Nibulon is headquartered in Mykolaiv. Nibulon produces and exports wheat, barley and maize. The company has its own expert team and shipyard.
