Israel has sent helmets and protective clothing to Kiev at Ukraine’s request.
Al Jazeera quoted the Israeli Defense Ministry as saying.
According to the Israeli Defense Ministry, Kiev asked us for helmets and vests. At their request, 2,000 helmets and 500 protective clothing were provided to the country’s emergency and civilian agencies.
Indicating a change in Israel’s position on the supply of such equipment, the country’s defense minister, Benny Gantz, said last month that he would approve the supply of helmets and vests. Gantz made the pledge after talks with Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov.
Russia launched an attack on Ukraine on 24 February. Since then, Israel has been trying to mediate between the two sides in various ways.
