Nurkader Sarker Imran, Domar (Nilphamari): Kovit-19 mass vaccination program has been inaugurated in Domar of Nilphamari to prevent coronavirus. The mass immunization program was inaugurated by vaccinating an elderly person at 9 am today. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shahina Shabnam inaugurated the program at Domar Multipurpose High School in the upazila.
Nationwide corona vaccination started in an expanded form on Saturday (August 7). At a press conference yesterday (August 6), officials from the Department of Health outlined the program in detail. They said the vaccination program will be conducted in 4,600 unions, 1,054 wards of municipalities and 433 wards of 12 city corporations. The health department has set a target of vaccinating 3.2 million people in 7 days.
Following this, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shahina Shabnam inaugurated the vaccination program in 12 camps in 10 unions of Domar Upazila of Nilphamari. He said the vaccination program will continue in Domar upazila as per the instructions of the government. Also present were Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Md Raihan Bari, Upazila Chairman Tofail Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Land Md Zaid Imrul Mozakkir, Upazila Vice Chairman Abdul Malek Sarkar,officer incharge mostafijar rahman and leaders and workers of various Awami League organizations.
