Latiful Azam, Kishoreganj (Nilphamari): The community clinics at the doorsteps of the villagers in Nilphamari Kishoreganj have been renovated with the aim of modernizing two community clinics in UP to improve the quality of mothers and children of the rural population with government services as well as AP World Vision’s own funds. The repair work of Uttar Durakuti Community Clinic and Faruapara Community Clinic of Panial Pukur in Bahagili UP was inaugurated on Wednesday.
The cost of repair work of these two clinics has been estimated at Tk 1 lakh 80 thousands. Bahagili UP Chairman Ataur Rahman Shah Dulu, Land Donor Emdadul Haque and Village Development Committee President General Secretary were present during the inauguration. Kishoreganj world vision Area Program Manager Piking Chambugong, Program Officer Amjad Hossain, Mintu Biswas and others were present at both the places. President General Secretary.
Piking Chambugong said 19 community clinics in 18 villages in 5 unions have been set up to improve the quality of education for mothers and children, safe motherhood, neonatal care and care, as well as modernization of community clinics. World Vision Bangladesh is working on pumps, hand washing machines, commodes, 500 liter water tanks and floor tiles. These works are being organized by the local health and family planning department.
