Mahmudul Hasan, Pirganj (Rangpur): The students took oath in front of the office of the Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Pirganj Upazila of Rangpur District with the help of Lal Sabuj Unnayan Sangha.
The members of the organization bought trees with tiffin money and went to different houses in the village and distributed saplings among the students and pedestrians.
Pirganj Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Alauddin Bhoona Johnny inaugurated the program by planting and distributing tree saplings as the chief guest at noon.
Founder and Central President of Lal Sabuj Unnayan Sangha Kawsar Alam Sohel, President of Pirganj Upazila Branch Al Imran Hossain Siam, General Secretary were present as special guests.
Moniruzzaman Sohan, Yunma General Secretary Anwar Parvez, Organizing Secretary Imran Khan and Co-Organizing Secretary Al Amin.
The program was conducted by Sifat, office secretary of the organization and health secretary
Limon Mia, Cultural Affairs Secretary, Farhan Ahmed Jisan, Finance Secretary
Aditya Islam Rifat, Social Welfare Secretary Waliul Islam Oli.
Kawsar Alam, founder and central president of Lal Sabuj Unnayan Sangha, said the members of Lal Sabuj Unnayan Sangha have started a program of planting and distributing tree saplings with their savings. The activities will be conducted across the country in the next three months. In the last 5 years, the organization has distributed 4 lakh saplings. This year, 1 lakh saplings will be distributed among students and pedestrians across the country as gifts.
