Noting that the situation in Corona is getting worse across the country, Health Minister Zahid Malek said that due to the increase in infections in the country in the last few days, hospitals are no longer able to accommodate patients. However, the government is trying its best to handle the situation.
He made the remarks at a roundtable meeting on coronary and dengue challenges at Hotel Intercontinental in the capital on Thursday (August 12th) at noon.
The event is jointly organized by the Society of Medicine and the CDD.
Zahid Malek said the infection is declining. This trend must be continued. The government has taken all kinds of initiatives to bring the elderly under vaccination.
“In a few days, we will have four to five thousand technicians, which is very much needed,” he said. We are building a field hospital. Apart from these, vaccination activities are also underway.
Speaking on the occasion, Director General of Health (DG) ABM Khurshid Alam said, “Corona is increasing and the number of beds in the hospital is not going to be increased.” And in this situation it is not possible to increase the bed. So there is no speed without reducing the infection.
