Nazrul Islam, Joypurhat: Good Neighbors Bangladesh, an international non-governmental development organization, has donated various health equipments to Joypurhat Modernized District Hospital in the wake of the epidemic. On the occasion, Abu Saeed Al Mahmud Swapan MP, Whip of Jatiya Sangsad and Central Organizing Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League, addressed the function as the chief guest at the conference room of the hospital on Wednesday afternoon.
Sardar Rashed Mubarak, Superintendent of District Modernized Hospital, presided over the function while Joypurhat Civil Surgeon Dr. Wazed Ali, RMO of Modernized District Hospital Dr. Shahid Hossain, Kalai Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Nur Asaduzzaman, Zindarpur Union Chairman Ziaur Rahman Zia, among others spoke. Project Manager Sharmin Nasrin, Resident Medical Officer of Kalai Health Complex Dr. Shahin Reza, Senior Program Officer of the organization Zakir Hossain, Health Officer Prahlad Basak, Admin Officer Asman Ali and others addressed the function.
Later, Sharmin Nasreen, project manager of Kalai CDP, handed over the health equipments to the caretaker of the hospital.
Items handed over include masks, hand sanitizers, semi-ICO beds, pulse oximeters, thermos scanners, water filters and other items including plastic chairs.
It may be mentioned that Good Neighbors Bangladesh Kalai CDP has been working for a long time in child development, women’s development and youth development in Zindarpur Union of Kalai upazila of the district. At the same time, it is working on child rights, women’s empowerment and providing medical services to children and women.
