In Moulvibazar’s Kamalganj, worshipers have been performing Friday prayers at the mosque for the past three months under police guard, fearing a counter-attack due to a long-running dispute over the position of the mosque committee. However, last Friday (September 17), three people were killed in a counter-attack by the two sides due to the absence of police. The dispute between the two sides over the committee and leadership of the Baitus Salam Jame Mosque in South Radhanagar, Shamshernagar, has been going on for a long time. Kamalganj police station also has a general diary in this regard. When the police did not show up last Friday, three people of Safar Mia Gang were injured in the attack of Ayub Ali Gang. However, Ayub Ali is claiming that three people of Ayub Ali Gang were also injured in the counter attack.

The injured have been admitted to Kamalganj Upazila Health Complex. A written complaint has been lodged with Kamalganj Police Station on Friday accusing Safar Mia of 12 people.
Opposition leader Nowshad Mia said they had not been reconciling the mosque for a long time without convening a full committee. Demanding these things threatens an attack and the Friday prayers are performed in the presence of the police in fear of an attack. As there were no police yesterday, they attacked and injured Zahid Mia (30), Abul Hossain (30) and Mueed Ali (19). A written complaint has been lodged at Kamalganj police station.
Asked about this, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kamalganj Police Station Yardous Hasan did not receive the call even after making several calls on his mobile phone.
