Amirul Kabir Sujan, Mithapukur (Rangpur): Mithapukur Orphan Development Foundation is working to improve the living standard of indigent and helpless families in Balua Masimpur of Mithapukur Upazila of Rangpur. The organization has always been dedicated to orphans in particular. Faridul Islam Farid, founder and president of Mithapukar Orphan Development Foundation, has been working tirelessly for the development of the country and the country as a beacon for the neglected people. Corona is looking for orphans at their homes during the disaster.
He is delivering food items to the orphan family’s house by his own bike. Even during Eid-ul-Fitr, with his own efforts and the help of various people, he has handed over Eid gifts to more than a hundred orphan families. Faridul Islam Farid said his father died when he was six years old. After his father died, the only source of income for the family of seven was a small grocery store in the village market. Besides sitting in that grocery store, Farid used to study in a village college after passing the entrance examination from the village madrasa.
Faridul Islam said that even though he is an orphan, he has worked hard to implement the goal in every moment of his life. After being admitted to Rangpur Carmichael College and leaving my family’s love due to scarcity, I did the job that I got in Chittagong city including rickshaw puller. I didn’t stop studying, I worked hard and passed the honors. With tears in his eyes, Farid said, “Let the next generation not suffer the same hardships that I have endured.” He has already won the Joy Bangla Youth Award in 2015, the Youth Icon Award in 2016 and the Youth Icon Award in 2016.
To provide scholarships and assistance to orphans and helpless poor students through this organization. National and International Day Celebrations Farabi IT Pre-Cadet School and Sandhya Kalin Shibalashya have started to spread the light of education among the poor in the tribal villages of Mithapukur besides providing training to the widows and poor women for job creation. At present more than a hundred students are studying in this school. Due to the fierce competition and existence in the country in the field of higher education, support is provided to orphaned meritorious students in this war. Farid’s dream is that one day the orphans will take the helm of the orphan students from their own hardships, a new generation will be formed.
