Dhaka/

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has urged everyone to wake up to protect the nation from the oppression of the authoritarian government. He also said to avenge the killing of Nur Alam through a peaceful movement.

He said this in a short speech before the janaza of Bhola District Chhatra Dal President Nure Alam, who was injured in police firing while undergoing treatment.

BNP Vice Chairman Doctor Zahid Hossain and Health Affairs Secretary Doctor Rafiqul Islam brought Nur Alam’s body to Nayapaltan in an ambulance from Dhaka Medical College morgue on Thursday (August 4) at 1 o’clock. Leaders and activists wore black badges and laid floral tributes on Noor Alam’s coffin.

Meanwhile, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the son’s body is on the father’s shoulder. There is nothing more painful than this. Our son Nure Alam Bhola is the president of Zilla Chhatra Dal. He was shot dead by the police force of this fascist Awami League government. Abdur Rahim, a member of the volunteer party, was shot dead. Another 19 people are fighting death in Barisal Hospital in Dhaka.
