Abdullah Al Mamun: Organized by Erfan Group, the top business organization of Chapainawabganj district and with the financial support of Erfan Ali, Chairman and Managing Director of Chapainawabganj Chamber, District Awami League Treasurer, the group is providing food aid to 20,000 unemployed families in 15 wards of Chapainawabganj Municipality and 14 unions of Sadar Upazila. The distribution of 10 kg of rice to 400 families of Ward No. 2 was inaugurated at Harimohan Government High School ground at 11 am on Friday (July 9).
Superintendent of Police AHM Abdur Rakib, Additional Deputy Commissioner Zakiul Islam, Sadar Upazila Awami League President Azizur Rahman and Municipal Awami League Acting President Mizanur Rahman Mizu addressed the discussion.
District Awami League office secretary Arifur Reza Emon, industry and commerce secretary Haji Shamsuddin Bablu, district Awami League member Shahjalal Shaheen, district Juba League general secretary Amanullah Babu, Sadar upazila Juba League president Asafuddaula, chamber director Bahram Ali, M Quraishi Milu, Shahidul Islam Shahid, and Haider Ali were present on the occasion. Former Juba League leader Shahidul Huda Alok, a member of the district Awami League, conducted the program.
The speakers thanked the Chairman of Erfan Group for standing by the poor people in the Corona situation. They appealed to the rich to stand by the poor people of the society.
At that time, Erfan Ali said, “In response to the call of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, I have provided food aid last year as well as this time.” And I will continue to provide food assistance.
