Staff Reporter: Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Shahab Uddin, from his personal fund, has distributed relief among the victims and helpless in the corona virus epidemic. Today, food items worth Tk 1.7 million were distributed among 1,700 families in Baroekha and Juri upazilas of his constituency in Moulvibazar. During this time each person was given 10 kg of rice, 1 kg of pulses and 1 kg of soybean oil.
Speaking online as the chief guest at the distribution of food items from the official residence in Dhaka, the Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change said the present government led by Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is helping the people of the country in every possible way. The Minister also appealed to the non-governmental organizations and wealthy people to extend a helping hand to the needy.
Chairman of Baralekha Upazila Parishad Soyeb Ahmed, former Upazila Chairman and Acting General Secretary of Upazila Awami League Rafiqul Islam Sundar, Mayor of Baralekha Municipality Md. Abul Imam Ahmed Kamran Chowdhury, Joint General Secretary of Upazila Awami League AKM Helal Uddin, Vice Chairman of Baralekha Upazila Parishad Taj Uddin among others were present during the distribution of food items in Baralekha Upazila and President of Juri Upazila Awami League Bir Muktijoddha Md Badrul Hossain, General Secretary Masuk Ahmed, Vice Chairman of Juri Upazila Rinku Ranjan Das and others were present on the occasion.
