Abdullah Al Mamun, Chapainawabganj: Bangladesh Diploma Engineering Student-Teacher Professional Struggle Council Chapainawabganj District Committee has organized a human chain to demand implementation of 4 points. After the human chain, a memorandum has been issued to the Minister of Education, Finance, Public Administration, Housing and Public Works through the Deputy Commissioner. Deputy Commissioner Md. Manjurul Hafeez accepted the memorandum.
The human chain and affidavit was handed over by the Bangladesh Diploma Engineering Student-Teacher Professional Struggle Parishad Chapainawabganj District Committee on the road in front of the Chapainawabganj District Administration Office at 12 noon on Wednesday.

Mahbubur Rahman (Bachchu), Shafiqul Islam, Joint Member Secretary Rakibul Islam, Joint Member Secretary Abul Khair, Ahsanul Islam, Bhabatosh Roy, Rakibul Islam, Abdullah Al Sharif, General Secretary of IDEB District Branch Satyajit Ray and others spoke in the presidency of IDEB District Branch President Engineer Md. Sadequl Islam.
The speakers said that ignoring the directive of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Education should stop the initiative to extend the duration of the 4-year diploma course to 3 years. The Bangladesh National Building Code and the Dhaka Building Construction Rules should be amended along with the anti-public interest sections and sub-sections, including the provision of employment for diploma graduates.
Teachers-students of various polytechnic institutes and working members of various government and non-government departments and engineers participated in the human chain program.
