Tarikul Islam, Khulna: Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Mohammad Helal Hossain received the Digital World 2020 award for special contribution in civic service through information and communication technology . As a result, another achievement was added to his record of success.
He received the award at the award ceremony held at the BCC Auditorium of ICT Tower in Agargaon on Saturday. Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Mohammad Helal Hossain has congratulated at the Khulna District Law and Order Committee meeting on Sunday for receiving the Digital World 2020 Award for his special contribution to civic service through information and communication technology.
The award ceremony was held on the occasion of the 4th Digital Bangladesh Day with the theme ‘Even though I am far away, I am still connected’.
According to the decision of the judging panel, he was nominated in the category of e-Governance (Special Contribution to Civic Services) for his special contribution to information and communication technology in Bangladesh.
President Md. Abdul Hamid. was virtually attached to the award ceremony. State Minister of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Junaid Ahmed Palak and Senior Secretary NM Ziaul Alam were also present on the occasion.
Mohammad Helal Hossain won the ‘Double Public Administration Medal’ in 2019 in two categories. Besides, he got the award of the best deputy commissioner at the national level in the third digital Bangladesh day-2019.
He was awarded the Best UNO Award in 2012 for his impeccable role in the implementation of Digital Bangladesh in field administration. In the 2012-13 financial year, he won the Innovation Award of the Year for ensuring hundred percent IT services in schools and colleges in Homna Upazila of Comilla.
The people of Khulna district have expressed their satisfaction and best wishes for the award of an honest, efficient and humane officer of the civil service.
It is learned that Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Helal Hossain is carrying out many development and innovative activities outside the routine work in coordination with the concerned people’s representatives.
In corona-virus situations, he has gained a reputation for innovating activities such as market management, rice collection, relief distribution, health care assurance, online education, digital land management and e-licensing to improve the quality of civic services.
