Abdullah Al Mamun, Chapainawabganj: Construction of houses for the landless and homeless in Gomstapur upazila of Chapainawabganj is progressing at a fast pace. Deputy Commissioner Manjurul Hafeez visited Gomstapur on Monday afternoon to inspect the construction of dream houses for the landless.
He visited the shelter project to closely monitor the quality of the houses under construction. After the inspection, he expressed satisfaction over the quality and progress of construction of 130 houses of Asrayan-2 project in Alampur playground area of Boalia union of the upazila.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Devendra Nath Urano, Gomstapur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mizanur Rahman, Executive Engineer of Water Development Board Mehedi Hasan, Executive Engineer of Public Health Engineering Department Amit Kumar Sarkar, Assistant District Commissioner and Land Commissioner Shah Administration officials, public representatives and media personnel were present.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Manjurul Hafeez said it was a dream project of the Prime Minister for the landless on the occasion of Mujib Year. Which is already being implemented in every district and upazila of the country. Therefore, any irregularity or negligence in this work will not be tolerated.
Under the direction of the Prime Minister’s Office, the Chapainawabganj district administration took steps to provide houses to the landless and homeless families with full government funding, including 0.2 percent land. Even in the midst of the Corona epidemic, the construction of houses is progressing at a fast pace under the supervision of the Chapainawabganj district administration.
