Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Samar Kanti Basak, Phulpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mr. Shitesh Chandra Sarkar, Phulpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mr. Abdullah Al Mamun along with various officials of the health department, various public representatives and journalists visited various unions in Mymensingh.
It has been seen on the ground that the recipients are getting vaccinated in a peaceful environment by standing in line in 10 unions in Phulpur following the health rules.
A team of news workers and various voluntary organizations are working for free vaccination registration in 10 unions of Phulpur under the initiative of Phulpur Press Club. Some have re-registered.
Members of the law enforcement agencies are present in each van to maintain peace and order in the vaccination center.
Under this campaign, vaccinations are being given simultaneously in 4,600 unions, 1,054 municipalities and 433 wards of city corporation areas. There are 32,706 vaccinators working in it.
Mass vaccination program has started in all Union Parishads, Municipalities and City Corporation areas of the country from Saturday. The Department of Health has set a target of vaccinating 3.2 million people in six days through this program.
Vaccination program will be held on 8th and 9th August in the excluded wards of Union and Municipality and from 8th to 9th August in City Corporation area. Vaccination activities will continue on August 7 and 9 in remote areas. From August 10 to 12, the Covid-19 vaccination program will be conducted among the 55-year-old population of the forcibly displaced Myanmar.
The Covid-19 vaccine will be given from 9 am to 3 pm at the union and ward level vaccination centers from August 7 to August 12.
