The National Consumer Rights Protection Department has conducted raids in the area of Court Mosque and Old Hospital Road in Habiganj city. Debananda Sinha, assistant director of the consumer rights district office, conducted the market operation at noon on Thursday (August 12th). At that time, two companies were fined a total of Tk 12,000 for selling expired drugs.
The Habiganj branch of the National Consumer Rights Protection Department has fined Chander Hasi Pharmacy adjacent to the Court Mosque in the city Tk 7,000 and Joykali Pharmacy in the Old Hospital Road area Tk 5,000 for selling expired drugs.
Habiganj District Sanitary Inspector Farida Yasmin and a team of Habiganj District Police assisted in the operation. This campaign will continue in the public interest.
