Belal Hossain Riaz, Comilla: Mohammad Omar Farooq. Young entrepreneurs and businessmen. He is the youngest of 4 sisters and 6 brothers. The family is looking for a bride to marry him. He was a manpower export trader by profession. He has a good reputation in the area as an honest and good-natured person. He used to run a business called ‘Trust Study and Immigration’ with a well-known young man named Nizam Uddin in Bhuschi Bazar near his village. He was successful in business and happy in his family. But suddenly an accident stopped everything. His untimely death brings down an unending darkness in the family. I was talking about a successful businessman who was killed in a train accident late last night (May 19). His death has created an atmosphere of mourning throughout the area.
It is learned that Omar Farooq is the youngest son of Abdul Halim of Chengahata village in Sadar Dakshin upazila of Comilla district. Last Friday at 11 pm he went to Harishchar area of the same upazila with Nizam Uddin, an employee of his organization. On the way back after breakfast, we stopped at a place called Shimulgachtala between Bhuschi and Harishchar areas. At that time he sat Nizam Uddin there and went to the railway station to talk on his mobile phone. After sitting for a long time, Farooq did not come back and when he called on his mobile phone, the Nizam started looking for him.
But not finding him anywhere, Nizam came back with the motorbike. The next day, on Saturday (May 20) morning, Laksham Railway Police received the news of the mutilated body of Farooq who was killed in a train accident. Railway police recovered his body at 10:30 am and sent it to Comilla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. After the autopsy, his body was buried in the family graveyard that evening. An unnatural death case has been filed at Laksam Railway Police Station in this incident.
Meanwhile, smoke has risen over Farooq’s death. Some people say that it is not murder but suicide. Police are also looking for the mystery of his death. Police’s initial investigation is talking about the possibility of a suicide or an accident. However, according to some people, Farooq has been in debt lately. Which is why he may have committed suicide.
Asked about the mystery of the incident, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Laksam Railway Police Station Nazrul Islam said on Tuesday (May 23rd) that it was not a murder but a suicide or an accident. Because there were no signs of injuries on the body. Therefore it is nothing but an accident.
The suspect Nizam Uddin said, “Farooq called me on my mobile phone between 11pm and 11:30 pm on Friday and said, ‘Nizam bhai, where are you?’ When I told him that I was preparing to sleep with the children, Farooq said, “Brother, you come to the shop next to your house.” Later, after I went to the shop next to our house wearing lungi, Farooq came with a Pulsar motorbike and told me that my brother came. After I sat behind him, he first came to Laksam railway junction.
After sitting there for a while, he took me to Harishchar, a hotel in the market, ate breakfast with the father of Chhatra League president Shimul of Taje Perul North Union, bought cigarettes Farooq sat me on an electric pole and went north to talk on his mobile phone. On the other side was a villa of Max Company, a railway construction company, and its guards. About half an hour later I called him on his cell phone without seeing him. But I got off his phone.
Then I searched for him until about 3 o’clock at night. Max’s night watchman with me also seeks him out. At one point I returned home without finding Farooq. Abdul Halim, the father of the deceased Farooq, said, “Allah has seen what happened to my son.” However, my request to the law enforcement agencies is to find out the exact cause of Farooq’s death through proper investigation and take appropriate action. Similarly, Nizam also demanded to find out the cause of Farooq’s death.
