Celebrating Martyred Intellectuals Day with due dignity in BSMRSTU

BSMRSTU correspondent: Martyred Intellectuals Day-2020 has been celebrated with due dignity at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology in Gopalganj.

On this occasion, a discussion meeting was held at the academic building of the university at 11.00 am, tributes were paid at the Shaheed Memorial and Shaheed Minar of the university, prayers were offered in the mosque and special prayers were offered at the temple. Vice-Chancellor of the University Professor Dr. presided over the meeting. AQM Mahbubb.

Proctor Dr. presented the main article “Martyred Intellectuals Day enlightened in consciousness” in the discussion meeting. Md. Raziur Rahman and others spoke to the Dean of the Faculty of Biology, Prof. MA Chattar, Dean of Law Faculty Md. Abdul Quddus Mia,

Dean of Social Faculty Prof. Rafiqunnesa Ali, Dean of Humanities Faculty Mohammad Ashiquzzaman Bhuiyan, Registrar Md. Abdur Rauf, Controller of Examinations SM Golam Haider, President of Teachers Association Dr. Hasibur Rahman, Officers Association President Md. Nazramnal Islam Hira, Assistant Professor Md. Solaiman Hossain and others.

Speakers at the conference gratefully recalled the contribution of martyred intellectuals in the establishment of Bangladesh.

The meeting was chaired by Professor Vice-Chancellor Prof. In his speech, AQM Mahbubb called upon all to be inspired by the spirit of liberation war and build the golden Bengal of the father of the nation and wished peace to the souls of all the martyrs.

Students, teachers, officials and employees of the university were present on the occasion.

Earlier at 10 in the morning, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Led by AQM Mahbub, tributes were paid at the Shaheed Memorial on the banks of Joybangla Pond at the Upazila premises and at the Shaheed Minar on the campus at 10.30 am.

Besides, prayers were offered at the Central Mosque of the University and special prayers were offered at the temple after Zohar, wishing peace to the souls of the martyred intellectuals.
