Patenga Police Inspector (Investigation) Mohammad Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter on Sunday (March 14th).
He said, ‘A case has been filed against Simi for beating the teenager. Simi’s accomplice Meherul (21) has been made the accused in the case. An operation is underway to arrest him.
Earlier, a video went viral on social media on Saturday. The one-minute video shows two teenagers and a teenager standing and sitting on the beach talking. The standing teenager is addressing her son friend in the regional language of Chittagong, saying, ‘Beta took a knife to kill me that day.’ The girl sitting on the north side put her cheek forward and said, ‘You hit me, hit me … I told him not to kill. ‘
At this time, a teenager (boy friend) was heard hitting the head of the girl who was sitting behind him and saying, “If you kill me, you will die in this way too.” But without listening to her, the teenager started hitting her on the head and face saying ‘why kill him’ and kept saying ‘you know me’.
The teenager who was standing at one stage was heard to say, ‘If I want you can’t get out of here alive. How dare you take a knife that day. You can’t go if I want to. ‘ At that time, the abused teenager took her hand and begged her, but she did not give up. In response, the beating teenager is heard to say, ‘You know, if I say so, your body will be dumped here.’
It is learned that Tahmina Akhter Simi, a resident of Patenga area, had a fearful nature since childhood. Her father died six years ago. Since then, Simi has become reckless. The video of the beating of a young woman who entered her house on August 24 last year went viral on Facebook. The lady teenage gang leader was arrested at that time due to the case filed in that incident.
