Awami League joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif has said that a caretaker government will never be formed in Bangladesh.
He said the verdict has been announced by the country’s highest court and a caretaker government will never be formed in Bangladesh. If a democratic political party does not participate in the election, it falls under their democratic rights. Those who disobey the verdict of the Supreme Court of the country want to see a fictitious government – that will not happen again.
Mahbubul Alam Hanif said this at the Trinamool Representative Conference of Chandpur District Awami League held at Chandpur Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Hanif said that Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is currently saying that Awami League will not get 30 seats in the next elections; But I want to say that Begum Khaleda Zia also said this in several public meetings during the BNP rule from 2001 to 2006.
But the cruel irony of fate is that in the 2008 elections, Begum Khaleda Zia got less than 30 seats. They know that there is no chance for the BNP to win the next election. In the election they will be cursed by the people again.
Because they have not done anything for the country or the people that the people will trust them but they have moved so far away from the people because of their every evil deed, terrorism, corruption and killing people with petrol bombs.
The next election is a long way off and there are doubts whether the BNP will ever come to power in their lifetime.
“We want all parties to participate in the elections and the people to vote for the candidate of their choice and this is our expectation by electing the party of their choice,” he said.
Chandpur District Awami League President Nasir Uddin Ahmed and Alhaj Abu Naeem Patwari Dulal were present at the Trinamool Representative Conference. Dipu Moni, Awami League Organizing Secretary Abu Saeed Al Mahmud Swapan, Bangladesh Awami League Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, Information and Research Affairs Secretary. Central and district Awami League leaders including Selim Mahmud, Bangladesh Awami League member Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya Birbikram, retired Major Rafiqul Islam Biruttam, journalist Safiqur Rahman MP.
