Bangladesh lost to Australia for the first time

Sports Desk :

Australia collapsed in the first match of the five-match series at the invitation of the Tigers at home. The host Bangladesh snatched the victory by defeating Starc-Marsh by 23 runs. The Tigers have never won a T20 before with so few runs. With this victory, Bangladesh lost to Australia for the first time in T20.

Bangladesh had lost four times before. Every match was played outside the country. This time, the red-green team was successful for the first time against Ajit on the soil of the country. The hosts took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series with this victory.

Batting first, Bangladesh lost 7 wickets in 20 overs and scored 131 runs. Australia were bowled out for 108 in 20 overs in reply to Bangladesh’s 131. The hosts won by 23 runs.

Nasum, Mehdi and Shakib attacked Australia at the beginning of the innings with a small run capital. Australia’s batting line-up after Bangladesh’s bowling cannon broke like a house of cards. Mehdi hit the first blow to Aji camp with the ball. He bowled Alex Carey straight and sent him to the pavilion. This batsman could not add any run to the score board.

Nasum Ahmed hit the second time in the Australian camp. His victim is Alex Carey. This batsman scored 9 runs before being dismissed. Then Shakib Al Hasan came with the ball. Moises Hendricks bowled his first ball. Hendrix lost the wicket by pulling himself to sweep the ball of this left-arm spinner. Australia lost 3 wickets for 11 runs.

From there, captain Matthew Wade was trying to break the pressure with a great pairing with Mitchell Marsh. They continue to move forward little by little without playing risky shots. In the end, Nasum broke their 38 -run partnership off 45 balls.

Then Nasum Ahmed took another wicket. He tried to play a short fine in the second ball of the 14th over of the innings, but Stump broke his leg. Before being out, 7 runs from 12 balls came from the bat of Agar. This is Nasum’s third wicket. Before that, he took Joss Philippe and Matthew Wade back to the bathroom.

Nasum, who took three wickets, hit Aji again. On the day of the failure of the top order, Mitchell Marsh stood as a thorn in the side of the Tigers, and Nasum Ahmed turned him around. Before being out, this batsman made 45 runs from 45 balls. In the end, no one else could stand on the wicket, as a result of which the T20 series started with a loss.

Earlier, Shakib had the best bowling performance of Bangladesh against Australia in four T20s. In 2016, Shakib took 3 wickets for 27 runs in Bangalore. Nasum broke that record today. The left-arm spinner took 4 wickets for 19 runs. Nasum Ahmed has been the man of the match.
