Bangabandhu Diploma Engineers Council gave computers to two unemployed engineers

Amirul Kabir Suzan, Mithapukur (Rangpur): Computer and printer assistance has been provided to two unemployed engineers at Corona in Mithapukur, Rangpur. Leaders of Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh and Bangabandhu Diploma Engineers Parishad Rangpur District Branch officially handed over a computer and printer to two fellow engineers Ajay Debnath and Durjoy Debnath at the Upazila Parishad meeting room yesterday.

Jayanti Rani’s life did not stop in battle after losing her husband 6 years ago. Singara has built a small shed on the side of the village road and sold onions to support her family and also taught her two sons Ajay and Durjoy to read and write. After finishing his studies in textile engineering, Ajay came home unemployed as he could not get a job. And after completing his studies in ceramic engineering, Durjoy was doing an internship in a factory in Dhaka.

The two brothers moved home in the epidemic situation. The three-member family is lost because of Corona. Singara stopped selling onions because of Corona. On top of that, two boys also came home unemployed. In such a situation, the two brothers started working as day laborers, breaking bricks. When the matter came to the notice of the local media workers, the organization came forward with humanitarian assistance after the news that “two engineers are working as day laborers in Mithapukur” was published on social media as well as on Facebook. Upazila Sadar UP Chairman Saidur Rahman Rahman Talukder presided over the function.

IDEB Rangpur District Branch President Mahbubar Rahman, Vice-President Shafiuzzaman Sarkar, General Secretary Abdul Wali, Joint General Secretary Abu Taher Chowdhury, Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Khasru Sarkar, Employment Affairs Secretary Asaduzzaman, Bangabandhu Diploma Engineers Council Rangpur District Branch President Sheikh Md. Shahadat Hossain, General Secretary AKM Sadequl Islam and former president of Mithapukur Press Club Pradeep Kumar Goswami were present.
