Awareness Meeting on the occasion of National Vitamin “A” Plus Campaign at Paikgacha

Purna Chandra Mondal Paikgacha(Khulna): Upazila Awareness and Planning Meeting has been held in Paikgacha on the occasion of National Vitamin “A” Plus Campaign-2021.  Organized by the Upazila Health Department in the conference room of the Upazila Health Complex on Saturday morning
 Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Nitish Chandra Goldar presided over the Upazila Awareness and Planning Meeting and Upazila Chairman Md. Anwar Iqbal Montu was the chief guest.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer ABM Khalid Hossain Siddiqui and Officer-in-Charge Md. Ejaz Shafi were present as special guests.  Dr. Sujan Kumar Sarkar, Junior Consultant, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Mandal, RMO, Dr. Prashant Kumar Mandal, Medical Officer, Dr. Md. Saifullah Ibn Mannan, Dr. Bappa Das, Dr. Iftiar Bin Razzak, Dr. Amin, among others were present under the direction of Nargis Banu.  Khatun, Dr. Mahmuda Haque Jasmine, Health Inspector Md. Aminul Haque, Chief Assistant Akhtaruzzaman Khan, Manik Pal, Sahanara Parveen, Md. Masuruzzaman, Debbrat Sarkar, Sarwar Hossain, Mahibullah, Md. Shahidul Islam and others.
 It will be celebrated from June 5 to June 19.  This time the total target of the target child is 23738 people.  Of these, a total of 2725 children aged 6 months to 11 months will be given blue vitamin A capsules and a total of 21513 children aged 12 months to 59 months will be given red vitamin A capsules.  The total number of centers is 241.  The total number of volunteer nurses is 482.  “Feed Vitamin A, Reduce the Risk of Infant Death”
 To increase awareness, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Nitish Chandra Goldar requested everyone to be fed vitamin A capsules in compliance with coronary health rules.  And he has sought the cooperation of all.  The campaign has been implemented by the Ministry of Health and Family, National Nutrition Service, Public Health Nutrition Institute, Department of Health.
