ASI killed by bus in capital

An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Police named Abdul Aziz (47) was killed when he was hit by Bikas Paribahan while on duty in Mohakhali of the capital. He was working in the traffic department.

The accident happened on Wednesday (August 3) around 6 pm. Police seized the bus and arrested its driver.

Banani police station officer-in-charge (OC) Noore Azam Mia said, while on duty on the slope of Mohakhali flyover, a passenger bus of Bikash Paribahan hit him hard. He was injured and taken to Rajarbagh Police Hospital. He died there around 6:30 in the evening. Later, the dead body was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Hospital mortuary at night for post-mortem.
