UK wants to see peaceful and participatory elections in Bangladesh

British High Commissioner Sarah Cook said that the United Kingdom wants to see the upcoming twelfth parliamentary elections in Bangladesh peaceful and participatory.
He told reporters after a courtesy meeting with CEC Kazi Habibul Awal from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm on Sunday (August 27).
He said that the United Kingdom encourages a free, fair, participatory and peaceful election in Bangladesh. So that the people of Bangladesh can exercise their democratic rights.
Earlier on Sunday (August 27) around 11am, Sarah Cook visited EC.
This is Cook’s first meeting with the CEC since taking charge at the end of last April. Two officials of the High Commission were present with Sarah Cook.
