4 killed as truck falls into ditch in Madaripur

Four people were killed when a truck overturned at Shibchar in Madaripur. The accident took place near the toll plaza of Arial Khan river in Shibchar upazila of Madaripur on the Dhaka-Khulna highway around 9pm on Saturday.

Officer-in-charge of Shibchar Police Station Miraj Hossain confirmed the information to media.

He said a truck leaving Gopalganj for Dhaka lost control and overturned near the toll plaza on the Arial Khan River bridge and fell into a ditch on the side of the road. At this time. Two people, including an employee of a toll plaza named Sohan, died on the spot. Two more died when the five were taken to the Royal Hospital in critical condition.
