Coronavirus has killed 24 more people in the country in the last 24 hours (from 8am on Friday to 8am on Saturday). The total number of deaths in the country stood at 27,555.
In addition, 589 new corona have been identified in the last 24 hours. The total number of patients diagnosed with corona is 15 lakh 57 thousand 347 people.
This information has been given in the regular press release on tax sent from the Department of Health on Saturday.
According to the notification, samples have been collected and tested in 821 labs under public-private management across the country. 16,415 samples have been collected in the last 24 hours in these labs. 17 thousand 283 samples have been tested. So far 97 lakh 73 thousand 244 samples have been tested.
It said that in the last 24 hours, the detection rate in the sample test was 3.41 percent. So far, the detection rate is 15.93 percent considering the sample test. Recovery rate is 97.45 percent. The identified mortality rate is 1.77 percent.
Among the 24 people killed in the last 24 hours are 14 in Dhaka division, 4 in Chittagong division, 1 in Khulna division, 1 in Barisal division, 1 in Sylhet division, 2 in Rangpur division and 1 in Mymensingh division. Of these, 21 died in government hospitals and 3 in private hospitals.
In the last 24 hours, 741 covid patients have recovered. So far 15 lakh 17 thousand 642 people have recovered with them.
On March 8 last year, the first three people in the country were infected with coronavirus. Ten days later, on March 18, the virus killed the first person in the country. The highest death toll that year was 64. But the country has seen the most deaths this year. On July 7, for the first time in the country, the death toll in Corona exceeded 200. More than 200 people died in a few days. Then on August 13, the death toll began to fall below 200.
