A day-long tree plantation program was held at the initiative of Alokdhara Youth Organization in Saghata Union and Muktinagar Union under Saghata Upazila of Gaibandha district. In the program, tree saplings were planted at Kachuahat High School, Khamar Dhanaruha Dakhil Madrasa, Putimari Government Primary School, Bharatkhali Bandar Girls High School, Bharatkhali Bandar Government Primary, and vacant lots. These trees include various species of fruit and ornamental trees. The voluntary organization informed the media that this initiative was carried out with their full support and their own funding. Members of the organization said they will continue to work voluntarily to prevent tree cutting and create green urbanization across Saghata police station. “Alojdhara Youth Organization” has been working since its establishment to increase awareness among people, including through tree planting.
