A Mock Drill on Cyclone Preparedness was held on Wednesday (June 24) at the grounds of Palli Mangal Government Primary School in Sadar Union of Koyra Upazila.Union Disaster Management Committee,Volunteers from the Cyclone Preparedness Program (CPP) and local people participated in it.
The Mock drill was organized under the Access Project,implemented by the non-governmental organization Uttaran and in Supported by HELVTAS Swiss Intercoperation Bangladesh.Local theater artists gave ideas on approach routes, rescue operations, warning signals, first aid during disasters and demonstrated their practice activities. Uttaran Project Officer Tania Sultana, Agriculture and Livelihood Officer Nusrat Jahan Mafia, CDO Officer Sakina Parvin, Shamima Khatun were present at the time.
