In Kumarkhali, Kushtia, free fertilizer and seeds were distributed among small and marginal farmers under the agricultural incentive program to increase Ufshi Aman paddy cultivation and production in the Kharip 2025-26 season (fiscal year 2024-25).

On Tuesday, June 24, at 12:00 noon, organized by the Department of Agricultural Extension, Kumarkhali Kushtia, at the Kumarkhali Upazila Parishad premises, the seed distribution program was presided over by Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Md. Raisul Islam. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) SM Mikhail Islam inaugurated the seed distribution program as the chief guest.

Kumarkhali Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Md. Mahmudul Hasan, Upazila Agriculture Extension Officer Kawsar ALi, Assistant and Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Gan, beneficiary farmers, journalists and dignitaries from various print and electronic media were present at the time. It is worth noting that 1,500 farmers in 11 unions of Kumarkhali Upazila were provided with 5 kg of Ubsi Aman rice seeds, 10 kg of DFP and 10 kg of MOP fertilizer.
