The monthly meeting of the District Development Coordination Committee was held in Gopalganj. The meeting, organized at the Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner’s conference room ‘Swachhta’ at 10 am on Sunday (June 22), was presided over by Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate (Joint Secretary) Muhammad Kamruzzaman. The monthly coordination meeting held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Golam Kabir was attended by District Police Superintendent Md. Mizanur Rahman, Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) of the Local Government Department and Gopalganj Municipal Administrator Bishwajit Kumar Pal, Chief Executive Officer of the District Council Amit Deb Nath, Principal of Government Gopalganj College Professor Ohid Alam Laskar, Principal of Government Women’s College Professor Sheikh Benazir Ahmed, District Civil Surgeon Dr. Abu Sayeed Faruk, Director of Gopalganj Medical College Dr. Premananda Mondal, Superintendent of Gopalganj 250-bed General Hospital Dr. Jeebitesh Biswas, Executive Engineer of Gopalganj Public Works Department Swarnendu Shekhar Mondal, Executive Engineer of Gopalganj LGED Md. Then, after the monthly meeting of the District Food Safety Management Coordination Committee, chaired by Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate (Joint Secretary) Muhammad Kamruzzaman, a view-exchange meeting-2025 was held to expand the Yellow Bird program in government primary schools for the 2024-25 fiscal year. In addition, a 5-day training workshop was held for drivers, mechanics and helpers working in the ‘District Government Road Transport Pool’ under the Department of Government Vehicles (at the district and upazila offices) under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner.
