A meeting of the Urban Coordination Committee (TLCC) was held at the Gopalganj Municipality. The meeting, held at the conference room of Gopalganj Municipality on Wednesday (June 18) at 11 am, was presided over by Municipal Administrator and Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) of Gopalganj Local Government Department, Biswajit Kumar Pal. The meeting of the Urban Coordination Committee, chaired by the Executive Officer of Gopalganj Municipality, AHM Rakibul Islam, was attended by Civil Surgeon Dr. Abu Said Mohammad Faruk, Member of the Performance Support Committee of Gopalganj Municipality (Ward 3 and 4), Executive Engineer of Gopalganj LGED Md. Ehsanul Haque, Member (Ward 1 and 2), Executive Engineer of the District Public Health Engineering Department Md. Fayez Ahmed, Member (Ward 10), Deputy Director of the District Women’s Affairs Department (Retd.) Lakhsana Lucky, Member (Ward 5 and 6), Deputy Director of the District Agricultural Extension Department A. Kader Sardar, Member (Ward 12 and 13) District Education Officer Md. Ruhul Amin, Member (9 and 21) District Primary Education Officer Md. Jyotsna Khatun, Executive Engineer of Gopalganj Municipality Md. Mehedi Hasan, Social Development Officer Md. Zulfikar Ali Mollah, women members of TLCC, Personal Assistant to the Municipal Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Lablu, Accounting Officer of the Municipality Sumanta Kumar Biswas, Cashier Biraj Kumar Biswas, Accounting Assistant Rawshan Habib Suman and other officers and employees of the Municipality were present. At this time, Municipal Administrator Biswajit Kumar Pal expressed his sincere gratitude to all members of the Gopalganj Municipality Performance Support Committee and the officers and employees of the municipality for performing their important government duties as well as additional duties of the municipality with honesty and dedication, and held various discussions on the draft municipal budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year. TLCC members participated in the discussion on the draft municipal budget and provided their important opinions. He said that the final budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year will be announced at the municipality’s conference room next Wednesday (June 23) at 11 am through additions and subtractions to the draft budget presented based on the opinions of the TLCC members. In addition, various directions are given to municipal officials and employees, including members, to ensure that all citizens of the municipality can easily access municipal services without harassment.
