Titas Gas authorities have conducted a drive against an illegal lime factory in Gazaria, Munshiganj. At this time, the furnace of the lime factory was destroyed for the fourth time with an excavator after disconnecting the illegal gas connection. The operation was conducted in the Anarpura area of ​​Bhaberchar Union of the upazila from 11 am to 4 pm on Wednesday (June 18). Milton Roy, Senior Assistant Secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Department, was in charge of the executive magistrate during the operation. After the raid, Executive Magistrate Milton Raj said that regular cases are being prepared against the owners of illegal lime factories and landowners. Meanwhile, Surjit Kumar Saha, manager of Titas Gas Sonargaon Meghnaghat region, said, “For the past few months, our campaign to disconnect illegal gas connections has been ongoing in Sonargaon of Narayanganj and Gazaria upazila of Munshiganj.” During the operation, the gas connection of an illegal lime factory located in the Anarpura area was disconnected, the factory was demolished with an excavator and 4 furnaces were destroyed. The factory was demolished four times before. Our operation will continue. The Gazaria Police Station and Gazaria Fire Service provided overall support for the operation.
