The Nature Study Society of Bangladesh (NSSB) has successfully organized a half-day-long Nature Field Walk at Zinda Park, Narayanganj, bringing together youngster nature-enthusiasts and conservationists for an instant hands-on learning program to experience biodiversity, eco-awareness, and sustainable conservation.

The Nature Field Walk, held on June 12, 2025, was designed to foster curiosity and respect for Mother Nature and its elements through practical experience with Flora and Fauna and their perfect eco-friendly ideas. Participants explored various observational learning with knowledge of ecosystems, and learnt the importance of their conservational adaptations in environmental degradation.

“This initiative aims to connect people—especially the younger generation—directly to nature and environmental with hands-on experiences that inspire SDG actions,” said Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, Chairman, NSSB. “We believe, real understanding for environment can only be achieved through field-based education.”

During the event, participants learned to identify plants and animals in nature, observed ecological facts in real-time, and reflected on their role in sustainable biodiversity.
The program also included interactive discussions led by NSSB’s educators and field experts.

Every participant received a Participation Certificate in recognition of their commitment to their enthusiasm and learning.

The Nature Study Society of Bangladesh remains committed to its mission: to promote nature literacy, conservation values, and sustainable practices through education, research, and its outreach programs. Events like the Nature Field Walk are parts of a broader initiative to build an environmentally conscious and action-oriented society.
