On the second day of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, Chittagong City Corporation Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain on his own initiative distributed sacrificial meat to 500 needy and helpless people at his ancestral residence, Chawkbazar DC Road.

In this humanitarian initiative organized on Sunday morning, Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain handed over Eid meat to the poor and underprivileged people of the area. At that time, he said, “The joy of Eid cannot be limited to ourselves. We have to share the joy of Eid with people from all walks of life – this is the main lesson of sacrifice.”

Also present at the meat distribution program were Emdadul Haque Badsha, former organizing secretary of Chittagong Metropolitan Jubo Dal, Ward No. 17 BNP convener Imran Uddin, Metropolitan Jubo Dal leader Md. Javed, former convener of Baklia Thana Jubo Dal Ismail Hossain Ledu, former convener of Chawkbazar Thana Jubo Dal Md. Selim, Md. Sohel and Md. Saddamul Haque Saddam.
