Top terrorist robber Shahin arrested from in-laws’ house in army operation
The army has arrested Cox’s Bazar’s top terrorist Shahinur Rahman alias Shahin dakat from his in-laws’ house.
He was arrested from Jauchpara area of ​​Gorjania union in Ramu upazila around 10 am on Thursday.

At the time of arrest, robber Shahin was staying at the house of his father-in-law Shaker member.
Upon receiving the information, a smart team of the army conducted a raid in the area and was able to arrest him.

When the news of the arrest of the robber Shahin spread, relief returned to the people in the entire area.

Major Shahriar Shahin, in-charge of the Bangladesh Army’s Jhilonja camp, admitted to the arrest of the robber. He said that a press briefing will be held in the Gorjania area on behalf of the army in this regard.

The joint forces conducted a raid on the camp of Shahinur Rahman Shahin alias Dakat Shahin, an accused in many cases including arms, cattle and drug smuggling in the eastern part of Ramu Upazila, on May 25. Although weapons, drugs, fake money and walkie-talkies were recovered in the raid, the dakat Shahin managed to escape.

RAB-15 commander (Assistant Superintendent of Police) AM Faruk said that Shahinur Rahman Shahin, a fugitive accused from Majhirghata village in Ward No. 6 of Gorjania Union in Ramu Upazila of Cox’s Bazar district, is an armed dakat.
He has been involved in various criminal activities for a long time. There are 19 cases against him.

Police sources say that Dakat Shahin is a fugitive accused in about 19 cases including CR and GR cases and GD.
Out of his two dozen cases, 9 are robbery, robbery preparation and kidnapping, 4 murder cases, two arms cases, two drug cases and the rest are as GDs in various police stations.

It is known that more than 150,000 people in the border areas of Ramu and Naiksyangchhari, especially Garjania, Kachhpia, Eidgarh, Baishari and Lemuchhari, are hostage to him. His Ram Rajya has been going on unstoppably for a long decade and a half.
He is the self-proclaimed ruler of that area. If he deviates from his views, he is caught and given severe punishment. The robber Shaheen publicly raises heavy weapons and conducts armed exercises in the area in a film style, creating panic in the minds of the people.

The entire area is under Shaheen’s rule, his lifestyle is like a real story from a Tamil movie. It can be said that Shaheen has a territory under the control of an independent country, where law, administration, and government are all robber Shaheen’s. Abductions, murders, extortion, smuggling, encroachment, looting, there is nothing left that is not organized by his own bandit army in broad daylight.

Locals said that if anyone obstructs Shaheen’s smuggling, death is certain, and the bandit Shaheen has committed about 10 murders in the past few months focusing on smuggling. Journalist Sarwar Jahan, who is in hiding due to fear of the bandit Shaheen, told Jugantor that Shaheen is the controller of the unofficial corridor for smuggling goods and drugs and cattle in Myanmar. He is working as a representative of the Arakan Army on the other side of the border.

He said that the Arakan Army is not only a threat to the Rohingya population, but also extremely dangerous for the sovereignty of Bangladesh. In such a situation, the Arakan Army is completely dependent on Bangladesh for all its supplies. And the only supplier of these supplies is the robber Shaheen. If his supplies do not arrive, the Arakan Army will starve to death. Along with daily necessities, octane is being smuggled in drums. The Arakan Army is using this octane as raw material to make various weapons and bombs. Various goods worth crores of taka are being smuggled in from one side to the other every day. Along with cows, yaba, ice, gold, betel nut and cigarettes are being smuggled in from there.
