On the occasion of the upcoming celebration of Eid-ul-Azha-2025, a training workshop on “Waste Management and Health Awareness” was organized by Gopalganj Municipality for sanitation workers. Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate Muhammad Kamruzzaman was present as the chief guest at the training workshop on “Waste Management and Health Awareness” held at the conference room of Gopalganj Municipality on Tuesday (June 3) morning.

Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate (Joint Secretary) Muhammad Kamruzzaman expressed the hope that the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha festival will be celebrated in a festive atmosphere with the overall cooperation of the residents of the municipality. The Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated with great enthusiasm with the spontaneous participation of people from all classes and professions in the society, rich and poor. The training workshop was presided over by Gopalganj Municipal Administrator and Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) of the Local Government Department, Biswajit Kumar Pal.

The program was moderated by Gopalganj Municipality Executive Officer AHM Rakibul Islam and was attended by District Agricultural Extension Department Deputy Director A. Kader Sardar, Gopalganj District Civil Surgeon Dr. Abu Said Md. Faruk, Gopalganj Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Executive Engineer Md. Ehsanul Haque, Municipality Executive Engineer Md. Mehedi Hasan, Municipal Administrator’s Personal Assistant Mahfuzur Rahman Lablu, Conservancy Inspector Imran Ali Molla, and other officials and sanitation workers of the municipality.

The male and female sanitation workers who participated in the workshop were instructed to quickly collect all waste in the municipal area on the holy day of Eid-ul-Azha and after Eid-ul-Azha and dispose of it at the designated location of the municipality. The municipal authorities have also taken effective measures to properly monitor or supervise all these activities. Earlier, on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, Gopalganj Municipality has taken various effective steps to promote health awareness and protect the balance of the environment through distribution of public awareness hand leaflets to the residents and miking.
