Today, integrated inspection drives were carried out in various sacrificial cattle markets across Dhaka to monitor waste management, environmental protection, and law and order. The initiative was jointly implemented by Dhaka City Corporation, BRTA, the Department of Environment, and the local administration.

A mobile court was conducted at the Sarulia cattle market under the leadership of Executive Magistrate Ms. Fayzunnesa Akter. To facilitate proper waste disposal, Dhaka City Corporation has established two designated dumping stations on either side of the market. During the inspection, waste management staff and volunteers were instructed to carry out their duties responsibly. Awareness leaflets were distributed among sellers and buyers, and public announcements were made via loudspeakers.

Another inspection was led by Executive Magistrate Mr. Kishore Kumar Das at the cattle market adjacent to the Institute of Leather Technology College. Market committee members and sellers were advised to dispose of waste in designated areas and remain cautious about controlling noise and air pollution.
Additionally, joint monitoring of waste management and law and order was conducted at Gabtoli and Bosila cattle markets by BRTA and the Department of Environment. To ensure environmentally friendly market operations, leaflets were distributed and necessary guidelines were issued to relevant stakeholders.

Ahead of Eid-ul-Adha, a call has been made to strengthen collective efforts of the administration, sellers, and buyers to ensure environmental safety and public health. Everyone is urged to dispose of waste at designated locations, avoid noise and air pollution, and comply with instructions from local authorities.

Mobile courts have been conducted in cattle markets across the country to ensure proper waste management of sacrificial animals, and this initiative will continue.
