Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate (Joint Secretary) Muhammad Kamruzzaman inaugurated the construction of DC Park in Gopalganj with prayers and supplications. After unveiling the inaugural plaque at 11:30 am on Sunday (June 1), he inaugurated the construction work of Gopalganj DC Park after offering prayers and supplications. The prayers and supplications were led by the Pesh Imam of Gopalganj Municipal Cemetery and Jama Masjid, Md. Al-Amin. Later, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Kamruzzaman personally planted a Bakul tree sapling at the under-construction DC Park. Earlier, the District Administrator said in a meeting with media personnel that there is no proper system for walking peacefully in this busy city, especially for those who are diabetic. Apart from that, there are no other entertainment facilities for the little ones except Sheikh Russell Children’s Park. Therefore, if a DC Park is built on the rescued government private land, people will be able to enjoy a little peace by coming close to nature with a variety of trees and shrubs. Work has already been distributed to multiple departments, including the Gopalganj Municipality, to implement this project. Hopefully, this DC Park will play a helpful role in providing entertainment to the residents of Gopalganj in the near future. At that time, Gopalganj Municipality Administrator and Local Government Department Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) Biswajit Kumar Pal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Golam Kabir, Additional Superintendent of Police (Finance and Administration) Muhammad Sarwar Hossain, Executive Engineer of Gopalganj Roads and Highways Department Muhammad Azharul Islam, Deputy Director of Gopalganj Agricultural Extension Department A. Kader Sardar, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer M. Rakibul Hasan, Assistant Superintendent of Police Sohel Rana, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Babli Shabnam, Assistant Commissioner Md. Ataur Rahman, Municipality Executive Officer S. M. Rakibul Islam, Executive Engineer Md. Mehedi Hasan, Personal Assistant to the Municipal Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Lablu, and media personnel working in various electronic and print media in the district were present. The Deputy Commissioner then briefed the media personnel about the facilities and rides that will be available at the DC Park under construction from start to finish, and the model in which it is being built. In addition, there will be demos of two products recognized as GI products produced in Gopalganj at this DC Park.
