Chittagong Reporters Forum (CRF) has formed a new committee of 15 members. The organization’s founder Kazi Abul Mansur (Deputy Editor – Pratidin Sangbad) has been appointed as the president and Golam Maula Murad (Bureau Chief – Baishakhi TV) has been appointed as the general secretary.

‎This committee was formed for the next 3 years with the direct support of the members present at the special general meeting of CRF at Abdul Khalek Auditorium of Chittagong Press Club on Saturday (May 31) at 12 noon.

‎The committee has nominated Aliur Rahman (Executive Editor-Purbbarta), Vice President Hasan Mukul (Bureau Chief-Daily Dinkal), Joint Secretary Mohammad Ali (Former Senior Staff Reporter-Manbakantha), Finance Secretary Saifullah Chowdhury (Senior Reporter-Daily Purbadesh), Sports and Cultural Secretary Monirul Islam Parvez (Staff Reporter-ATN News), Organizing Secretary Tanvir Ahmed (Special Correspondent-CHD News), Publicity and Publication Secretary Abul Kashem Saroj (News Editor-Chittagong News), Office Secretary Md. Hasan Murad (Deputy Bureau Chief-Aajkal Khabor), International and Information Technology Affairs Secretary Md. Gias Uddin (Staff Reporter-Bangla TV) as senior vice presidents.

‎In addition, 4 executive members of the organization have been nominated. They are — Kamrul Huda (Editor-News Garden), Sajal Kanti Chowdhury (Special Correspondent-Commercial Times), Mohan Mintu (Editor-Khas Khabar News) and Mujahidul Islam (Executive Editor-Daily Samar).

‎In this special general meeting, Kazi Mansur said that CRF is a favorite organization of professional journalists. I want to move forward with those who dreamed of this organization in the beginning and those who are thinking about the future.

‎He also said that in the next 3 years, this committee will implement a set of plans including housing projects, professional training, etc. to improve the quality of life of journalists with the cooperation of everyone.

‎Among others, the meeting was addressed by the organization’s Senior Vice President Aliur Rahman, General Secretary Golam Maula Murad, Member SM Pintu.

‎After the general meeting and committee formation of CRF, the newly formed committee and members paid a courtesy call on Jahedul Karim Kochi, Member Secretary of Chittagong Press Club. Jahedul Karim welcomed the newly formed committee with flowers and served sweets.
