In his presidential address, the UNO said: “Retiring Education Officer Pulin Chandra Roy was a highly skilled, responsible, and vibrant official. Dedicated and compassionate officers like him are rare. He was not just a government official but also a shining star in the literary world. As a poet and little magazine editor, he is well-known both nationally and internationally. He worked with genuine dedication for the development and quality improvement of education in Chhatak. The people of Chhatak will never forget him. May his retired life be fulfilling. May his literary contributions continue to flourish. We wish him good health and a long life.”

In his farewell speech, Pulin Chandra Roy said: “With your prayers and support, I am retiring after 31 years in government service. I have served as an education officer in various upazilas and received the sincere cooperation of everyone at each posting. Finally, the love and support I received from you all here will never be forgotten. I will always remember the affection you have shown me.”
He further added: “Out of a total of 37 years in service—31 in government service and the rest in private college teaching and journalism as a staff reporter at Dainik Sylheter Dak—I have always tried my best to fulfill my duties with integrity and sincerity. No one is above mistakes, and I may have made some as well. I hope you will view me with a forgiving heart. Please keep me in your prayers.”
