A Chhatra Dal leader was stabbed to death by miscreants in Islam Nagar area of ​​his home town yesterday (May 28) at around 12 noon. The deceased, Biplob Ahmed Piyal (30), is the senior joint convener of the town Chhatra Dal. Joypurhat Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Nur Alam Siddique confirmed this information. He said that the miscreants called Piyal from his house at around 12:30 pm for obstructing the sale of drugs and stabbed him repeatedly in Islam Nagar area of ​​the town near his house and fled. Later, when he was taken to Joypurhat General Hospital in a life-threatening condition, the doctor on duty declared him dead. The body has been sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy. Preparations for a case are underway in this incident, said the police station officer-in-charge. There has been intense tension in the area since the incident. The family and political colleagues of the deceased demanded justice through a fair investigation.
