Cow calf calves have been distributed among 16 registered fishermen in Kumarkhali Upazila of Kushtia for the purpose of alternative employment. On Saturday morning, the Upazila Fisheries Office organized the distribution of these calf calves among fishermen under the Hilsa Resource Development and Management Project for the fiscal year 2024-2025 at the Upazila Parishad premises.

Kushtia District Fisheries Officer, Md. Abdul Bari, handed over these calves to the fishermen as the chief guest.

Kumarkhali Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Mahmudul Hasan, Agriculture Officer Raisul Islam, Social Service Officer Abu Rayhan, along with various levels of officials of the concerned departments and beneficiary fishermen were present at the event presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) SM Mikhail Islam.
