The 3-day 46th National Science and Technology Week and Science Fair have begun in Joypurhat at the local Collectorate Balika Vidya Niketan with the theme of ‘We will win through science, we will be the best in the world’.
On Saturday, at 10:30 am, Joypurhat Deputy Commissioner Afroza Akhter Chowdhury inaugurated the National Science and Technology Week and Science Fair, the 9th Science Olympiad and Science Quiz Competition organized by the district administration.
Additional deputy commissioner (Education and ICT) Mohaimena Sharmin presided over the inaugural ceremony, and Additional Superintendent of Police Jinnah Al Mamun, Upazila Executive Officer Rashedul Islam, Assistant Commissioner Abdur Rouf, among others, spoke.
More than a hundred competitors from five upazilas participated in the quiz and knowledge Olympiad at the fair. In addition, 35 stalls were displayed with the participation of students from various educational institutions of the district.
