The monthly meeting of the District Law and Order Committee was held on Monday (May 12) morning at the conference room of the District Commissioner’s office. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Banani Biswas. The meeting discussed the overall law and order situation in the district, security measures, crime prevention, drug control and recent social issues. District Police Superintendent Mirza Sayem Mahmud, Deputy Director of Local Government and Municipal Administrator Rafiquzzaman, Superintendent of Modern Sadar Hospital Dr. Abu Said Mohammad Mahabub Rahman, District Ansar Commandant Muhammad Jinnatun Islam, Assistant Director of NSI Humayun Munsur, BGB Deputy Commander Abdul Awal, Assistant Director of District Narcotics Control Md. Nazmul Haque, Secretary of District Press Club M. Kibria Chowdhury Helim, and other administrative officers, public representatives and representatives of civil society were present. Participants in the meeting emphasized the importance of coordination between the administration and the public to maintain peace and order in the area.
