A team from Doublemooring Police Station was able to unravel the mystery of the murder case of clueless Ranjit Dutta Nilak (54) in Pahartali within eight hours and arrest the accused.

Police say that on May 10th, at approximately 8:30 am, a passerby informed the Doublemooring Model Police Station through the National Emergency Service 999 that the body of an unidentified man was lying on the roof of the 1-storey building of Sultan Saheb next to Fast Security Islami Bank in Pahartali Bazar under Doublemooring Police Station.

Upon receiving the news, SI Shahidul Kabir Sohag, who was on patrol duty in the police station area, along with SI Nazrul of Dewan Hat Police Fari, along with other officers and forces, reached the spot and found the body of the unidentified man. and stopped to check the CCTV footage in the vicinity.

He immediately sent a radio message with the picture to various police stations of the CMP to identify the unidentified man.

At the same time, a team from the PBI arrived at the scene and started collecting information about the incident from the people nearby.

When the victim’s family arrived at the scene at approximately 12 noon, the police said that they got an idea about the victim’s name, identity and workplace.

On the other hand, on May 9th, at approximately 16:30 pm, the victim’s family, unable to find the victim Ranjit Dutta Nilak (54), contacted Pahartali and Akbarshah police stations and learned that the Double Mooring Police Station had recovered the body of an unidentified person.

Based on the news, the victim’s family came to the Double Mooring Model Police Station and identified the body of the unidentified person as theirs.

Later, the victim’s wife Shipra Majumdar (49), filed a murder case at the Double Mooring Police Station as the plaintiff. Which is Double Mooring Model Police Station Case No.-03, Date- 10/05/2025 AD. Section- 302/34 Penal Code. This is a clueless murder case.

A smart team of Doublemooring Model Police Station conducted a raid with the help of information from multiple trusted sources and information technology to unravel the mystery of the Clueless Murder case. Within 8 hours of the case being filed, at 11 pm on May 10, one of the main accused in the murder, Runa Akhter Prakash Pinky Akhter Prakash Bilu (35), was arrested from the house of the accused at the current address under the Pahartali Police Station of CMP and unraveled the mystery of this Clueless Murder case.

Later, based on the information provided by the arrested accused Runa Akhter, her co-accused, alleged husband Ibrahim Khalilullah Prakash Mizan (50), was arrested from the Dewanhat area under Doublemooring Police Station on May 11.

During interrogation of the accused, it was learned that the accused Runa Akhter was in a love relationship with the victim Ranjit and the victim used to visit the accused Runa’s house.

In continuation of this, the victim went to the house of accused Runa Akhter on the 9th at approximately 5 pm. When the victim arrived at the house of the accused, as per the pre-planned plan, accused Runa Akhter and her associate accused Ibrahim Khalilullah Prakash Mizan drugged the victim and took the victim’s used mobile phone and wallet. When the victim became unconscious from the drug, the two accused threw the victim off the roof of a nearby building, ensuring his death.
